The first time we went to Kauai to build a house, Rich (the other kid that the Bucduke likes to hang with) loaned us his double cassette boom box with a few tapes. Among the tapes were,
Born in the USA - The Boss, some garbage, and a Steve Winwood classic,
Back in the High Life.

This time around, I look forward to digging through the damp, insect-infested, styrafoam storage container in search of that boom box. When I do find it, the Steve Winwood tape will be loaded in there because, as I mentioned, the rest of the tapes were garbage. And after the 45 seconds of rewinding, when the tape clicks to indicate it's back at the beginning, I'll press play. And as the sounds of synthesized keyboard comes in, accompanied by the ever so smooth sound of the acoustic guitar, I'll lounge back in my zero gravity chair and relax. About 57 seconds in, I'll join along with James Taylor for the backing vocals in the chorus, "I'll be back in the high life again..." and that's when I'll know, we've arrived.
